LG Chat Installation

Here you can get the codes for installing LG Chat.

First You must install your LG Chat HTML, this bit of code goes in any place in your Admin Panel which will accept HTML. These places include Widgets, Announcement Box, Homepage Message. I recommend putting it in an Announcement box, don't worry, LG Chat will automatically hide itself from guests. It will not work in templates, and do not change the HTML if you don't know what your doing, contact LGforum for help.

Next you have to install the necessary CSS. The bits which you can edit are marked by comments in the CSS. Its important you do not edit bits that are not marked as editable as some are required for LG Chat to work.

Next you'll need to fill in your LG Chat options. These are things like permissions, and some colors and specifications.

Installation Part 2

Since your at this stage, this must mean you have installed the HTML and CSS so far. However the most important part is the Javascript. If you haven't installed the HTML and CSS, please return to do so.

Please fill in your options as wanted. Leave a box as it is or blank to get the default setting for that option.

Your Chatbox Title:

This is the title above the messages in the chatbox. Set it to whatever you wish.

Button standard background color:

Put a hexidecimal color or standard word color into this box, the color you want you button to be in its normal state. You should set this to match the background color you set in the CSS.

Button color for new messages:

This is the color you want your button to turn when there is a new message entered. A hexidecimal value or standard word.

The sound source of your new message sound:

This should be the URL of an MP3 sound. This is the sound you wish to play when a new message is entered

This is how often things will update:

This is how often you want your chat to update the online numbers in the button. It is not recommended to have less than 1 second on boards running lots of Javascripts.

Users who can see the C-Box PM's:

This should be a comma seperated list of the User ID numbers of who you want to be able to see the PM's. For these users, no matter who sends a C-Box PM or who it is sent to, it will show up to these users. Note: This does not affect regular forum PM's

Users who can save conversations:

This should be a comma seperated list of the User ID numbers of who you want to be able to save conversations. Please note that you must set up and activate your account on this site before being able to save.

Do you want your users automatically Logged In?

LG Chat Sticky Message:

The sticky message will appear at the top of the chat just above the messages. Its a good place to link to some rules or adding important information.
